FF2020 SPEAKING SESSION

> Filippo Tomasello, FF2020's Regulation Manager and Senior Partner at EuroUSC Italia, spoke about our project at this event on behalf of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

JARUS (Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems) is a group of experts from the National Aviation Authorities (NAAs) and regional aviation safety organisations. The expert group recommends technical, safety, and operational requirements to safely integrate Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) into aviation. 

JARUS provides guidance material to facilitate each authority to write their own requirements and avoid duplicated efforts. The organisation has more than 60 member organisations, including EASA and EUROCONTROL. The industry is highly involved through the Stakeholders Consultation Body (SCB).

FF2020 session:

On Friday, 21 April 2023, Filippo Tomasello, FF2020's Regulation Manager and Senior Partner at EuroUSC Italia, and representative of ISO in the JARUS Stakeholder Consultation Body (ISB), gave a presentation on behalf of ISO about the Flying Forward 2020 (FF2020) project. He spoke about the Fleet Manager for UAS operations that has been identified by FF2020 and which has a relevant interface with regulatory authorities.
