#ff2020events
On 14 December 2022, these three EU-funded projects joined forces to present the findings of their first use cases and insights from the projects from a practical perspective. By interacting with various stakeholders from the Urban Air Mobility ecosystem, we aimed to find solutions for current UAM challenges and new opportunities.
Before diving into each use case, Miguel Martí Vidal, Aviation Project Manager (H2020-Horizon Europe Transport Research) at CINEA, explained the importance of drone use cases and living labs as a test bed for emerging technology before their application in cities.
The workshop also showcased each project's challenges and how they overcame them. With these insights and participants' perspectives, we identified new opportunities from challenges in UAM. By continuing discussions on our practical experience with stakeholders, we aim to contribute to the knowledge expansion of the required infrastructure for the implementation of Urban Air Mobility in Europe. In addition, the workshop provided us with a platform to continue expanding our network through these interactions to promote cross-collaboration and knowledge-sharing between projects and the whole UAM ecosystem.
In the breakout sessions, participants were able to connect with others to brainstorm and find opportunities in the current challenges of the applicability of drones in cities.
To all registrants, we thank you for your interest in our projects' developments!
1. The role of the regulatory framework in automatic and autonomous flights (AiRMOUR)

3. Accepting a new vision for our cities (AURORA)
Aimed at: Public representatives and citizens interested in how drone technology can support public services
Attendees and stakeholders who were unable to attend the FF2020, AiRMOUR and AURORA workshop 'Navigating the Opportunities and Obstacles in UAM: First Findings From Hands-On Practical Experience with Use Cases' can now view the presentations and download the slides given at the event. These have been made available with the speakers' permission to share.
With this workshop, we aimed to achieve three objectives focused on knowledge development and community building:
